We look forward to hearing from you!

Go Ballooning.com is the only balloon company in Australia fitted with equipment that enables us to easily pack away the balloons. However as part of the fun adventure we do invite our customers to help roll out the air in the balloons! It's an easy all in fun moment of the morning. If you do not wish to participate in the packing up of the balloon we completely understand!

Children need to be 3 years old or over and accompanied by a parent or guardian to fly. It is important to note that the noise from the burners can be quite frightening to young children.

There is no upper age limit. As long as you are fit and healthy with no significant knee, hip or back problems, no recent surgeries or broken bones and you are not currently pregnant – you are fit to fly!

You will be required to climb into the balloon basket using the foot holds cut into the side of the basket, stand for one hour and, in the instance of a bumpy landing, absorb a small impact which is similar on your joints to that of jumping off a low chair.

Unfortunately, due to the active nature of balloon landings, it is not suitable for pregnant ladies.

If your balloon flight is cancelled by us due to unsuitable weather conditions we let you know, then you are welcome to re-book anytime within a 12 month period. We confirm all our flights the night before around 7pm.

Balloon flights take place at sunrise on the Gold Coast as this is when the weather conditions are at their most stable. Ideal conditions for ballooning consist of light winds and cool, calm atmospheric conditions.

The Gold Coast is one of the only locations in the world where flights are scheduled all year round. So any day is a good day to fly!

Clothes suitable for walking or hiking is recommended with enclosed shoes. We suggest you also bring a jacket, hat and sunglasses as well as your camera.

Yes, the cost of your balloon flight includes the mandatory aviation insurance and we will not ask you to pay an insurance levy on the day of your flight. We carry up to $20,000,000 of public liability insurance.

Hot air ballooning is one of the safest forms of aviation in Australia. Go Ballooning.com boasts the Gold Coast’s most experienced operator and we simply will not fly if the conditions are not safe to do so. We are governed by CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) the same as Qantas or Virgin Australia and fly strictly to the guidelines set down by them.

Our flights vary between 30 and 60 minutes with an average flight time of 45 minutes. The total time you are with us on the morning of your flight is approximately 4 hours. This includes a flight briefing from your pilot, completing some paperwork, travelling to and from the launch and landing sites in one of our shuttle buses and the 5 Star Buffet breakfast at the Sheraton afterwards.

Balloons are incredibly versatile, so on the morning of your flight you might find yourself flying anywhere between tree top height and up to 7.5 thousand feet.

If you have any mobility or climbing limitations please call us on 0439 083 933 and we can ensure you are booked into our balloon that has easy access DOORS! We are proud to own a balloon with easy access doors.
